Earth Day at Eploy
Eploy’s office was visited by the 11th Wyre Forest Cub Pack from Broadwaters and the hardworking cubs tackled the litter-filled streets around Hoo Farm business estate in Kidderminster. Through the work of Karen Blanchfield and her Little Litter Warriors programme, the Cubs used Litter Pickers, Buckets & Gloves to safely obtain the litter from the streets and Eploy were delighted to provide the cubs with bins, so they could safely dispose of the litter and some well-earned refreshments.
The Cubs and their leaders were invited to Eploy’s office for drinks and biscuits, to warm up and relax after tackling the task of cleaning up the surrounding streets. This meaningful activity helped mark Earth Day in a very special way while contributing to the young generations activities to take care of nature and the environment.
Little Litter Warriors
Karen Blanchfield, the founder of Little Litter Warriors has been a scout leader for 10 years, and a community litter picker since April 2018. Through the Little Litter Warriors programme she aspires to teach as many children as possible about the impact litter has on the planet.
After being approached by Wychavon District Council in 2020, who offered to fully fund a programme for Wychavon schools, she designed the Little Litter Warriors program, which continues to educate younger generations about the environment through fun and positive experiences. This hands-on approach highlights community litter pollution through a fun and engaging litter pick and classroom PowerPoint lesson, helping spread awareness on the well-being of our earth and what impact litter has on it.
Not forgetting our very own Daisy
Daisy Sands is Eploy’s hardworking client projects lead, who is not only active in her professional life but also gets involved in many great causes, such as running a local Cub Scouts group and supporting with other Scouting events. It is thanks to Daisy that Eploy had the chance to support the Little Litter Warriors in their activities. We are delighted to have team members at Eploy, who truly care about our environment and actively help better the world! Well done Daisy!
