Founded in 1996, Claranet has evolved into a multi-disciplinary technology services provider with global reach. They combine professional services, managed services and training, giving their customers an expert end-to-end service spanning hybrid cloud, cybersecurity, networks and communications.
The company has annualised revenues of circa £350 million, over 6,500 customers, and more than 2,200 employees in nine countries. In the UK, they have over 500 staff working across multiple locations.
For employees, life at Claranet provides a journey of self-challenge and improvement to make a big difference, and that also applies to how Claranet approach securing the best talent.
Having a seamless candidate journey and engaging candidate experience is paramount to the company recruitment strategy. Claranet needed recruitment technology to support their reputation for technical innovation and excellence; however, their legacy ATS solution was counter-productive to a smooth end-to-end recruitment process.
Claranet rapidly implemented Eploy's e-recruitment platform to address several gaps with the previous ATS solution and support Claranet hiring some of the best technical minds and subject matter experts in the market.
The Claranet Resourcing Team and Hiring Managers are now benefiting across many areas that were previously problematic:
- A mobile-responsive careers site that candidates can access on mobile, tablet and desktop to easily apply for roles.
- A seamless candidate experience. Candidates can apply using their social profiles and upload their CV from cloud storage. Eploy's Applicant Tracking System automatically parses CVs.
- Candidates now receive regular communications about the progress of their application.
- Compliance and data management tools allow Claranet to set retention periods, allow data subjects to withdraw consent, to delete or anonymise records automatically at the end of the retention period.
Talent Pooling features within Eploy can create talent pools and talent search to identify suitable candidates quickly.
A smooth online onboarding process including automatic reference collection, offer management and digital contract signing - all accessed via the candidate portal.
Extensive recruitment analytics, which was previously non-existent, delivered through Eploy's customisable drag and drop dashboards.
Commenting on their recruitment journey so far, Louis Cross, Internal Resourcing Lead at Claranet, said "Our end goal to have an all-encompassing recruitment system to streamline the entire process is now in place. We can better engage with candidates and hiring managers as well as managing our preferred supplier list (PSL) of approved agencies. We are integrating Eploy with other recruitment tools such as job boards and Thomas International for candidate assessments for a completely joined-up approach."
